Luca Pesaro was born in northern Italy but has spent most of his adult life in the US and UK. After studying at LSE, he became a derivatives trader in financial markets, and has worked for Lehman Brothers, JP Morgan and RBS, and been a regular commentator on Bloomberg TV.
After the financial crisis, he decided it was the right time to attempt a lifelong desire to write a book, and the idea for this first one had been swirling in his head for some time. Luca took the plunge and made it his full time job, completing 12 months later. Zero Alternative is his first novel and he is hard at work on his second, set in a very different world to the first - that of Chess.
Luca is married with two children and lives in Rotherhithe in London.
With the world still reeling from the effects of the recent financial crisis, there are crucial questions to be answered – has the banking world learned its lesson, and how can we be sure this will never happen again? Such is the backdrop to this first novel from ex-city trader Luca Pesaro.
Scott Walker is a fugitive from the quicksands of Finance, with one card to play – DeepShare, a silicon oracle coveted by billionaires, hitmen and hackers. As he fights for survival and vengeance, digging deeper into the dark heart of the global economy, one question torments him: what price will the world have to pay?
Zero Alternative is an action-packed conspiracy thriller that plucks at the base of human nature. But most shocking of all…. this fiction could easily become fact within our lifetime.
